Warmups: On Monday through Thursday students will have between 4 to 6 problems to do on the overhead at the beginning of class. These questions are worth 2 points each day. Absent students may not make these points up.
Assignment Sheets and Weekly Self Evaluations: On Fridays students will copy down assignments off the side board onto their personal assignment sheet and calculate their exact grade. Their grade will be recorded on a Weekly Self Evaluation (WSE) form and turned in for 2 points. The WSE will usually have two questions that will require the student to evaluate their own performance. Absent students may not make these points up.
The Rule: Respect others and their property. You must show respect if you want to receive it.
Tardy Policy: All forms of wasting Mr. Shick's time will result in a tardy. These include forgetting to get a note from being absent, having to go to your locker to get an assignment or book. Students are expect to be in their seat working on the warmup when the bell rings.
| 1st tardy | Warning |
| 2nd tardy | Warning |
| 3rd tardy | Note home to parent |
| 4th tardy | Saturday school |
Hall Passes: If you need to go to the bathroom, locker, or office you must write yourself a note. If it is during individual work time Mr. Shick may sign your note and let you leave. If you do not come to Mr. Shick with a note he will say no.
Do not ever ask for a note to be signed while Mr. Shick is conducting class.
If trouble comes back to Mr. Shick form him letting you leave class you will never be allowed to use this privilege again.
What do we do in Math Analysis? We
cover the following topics over the course of the school year: Exponents
and logarithms, Circle and triangle trigonometry, Parent graphs and transformations
of functions, Poloar coordinates, Vectors, Serieis and sequences, and an
introduction to the Calculus.
Note: This course will change in the 2009-2010 school year as we integrate
into the College Preparatory Mathematics program
one year at a time.
