Meridian Community;
I wanted to let you know that I have notified the School Board of Directors of my retirement effective June 30, 2018.

It has been a pleasure to be the Superintendent in Meridian to finish out my career in public education. After 27 years in public education (13 of them as a district Superintendent) I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life. I am very proud of the numerous improvements in the District that were accomplished during my six years as Superintendent in Meridian.  I took seriously my stated goal to “Keep Improving” things in the District.

Meridian is an exemplary school district in a caring and supportive community. It has been an honor to work here.

At the February 14th Board meeting, the School Board will be taking action to appoint Dr. James Everett, former MHS Principal and current Squalicum High School Principal, as the next Superintendent for the District effective July 1, 2018.

As we move through the spring, please let me know how I can support you and help make the transition to a new Superintendent as seamless as possible.
