Accidents
  1. Keep calm. Assess the situation.
  2. Call 911 if necessary, or call the front office to assist with first aid.
  3. Designate a specific person to report the incident to the administrative staff in the school office. Give clear, specific directions.
  4. Identify witnesses as well as victims of the incident.
  5. If this is a serious accident, assemble the Crisis Team. Use the Crisis Management Checklist (which includes calling families, the district office, superintendent, and meeting with the media).
