Drugs or Weapons at School

Drugs:

  1. If the presence of drugs or drug paraphernalia is suspected, notify the administration immediately.
  2. Suspected students (and their bags) will be searched. Police will be called if warranted.
  3. The Drug and Alcohol Counselor will be notified and normal school policy will be followed.
Weapons:
  1. If a weapon is suspected, notify the administration immediately.
  2. Administration will conduct a search following guidelines in district policy and procedures.
  3. When appropriate, law enforcement will be notified.
  4. Report incident to superintendent's office.
  5. Refer to "Assaults/Fights" section for details on handling a person with a weapon.
