Fire, Facilities and Hazard Material Emergencies
(Evacuation signal: A fire alarm will signal the need to evacuate students to designated area).
  1. Stay calm. Follow standard evacuation routes and procedures.
  2. During the evacuation, teachers should remain alert and guide students away from danger areas.
  3. The custodian will open gates for emergency vehicles.
  4. Assigned staff will check for students remaining in buildings.
  5. Teachers check roll. Release no student without permission of an administrator or administrative designee.
  6. If necessary or appropriate, assemble the Crisis Team. Use the Crisis Management Checklist which includes calling families, the district office, superintendent, and meeting with the media.
