Lockdown
  1. When you hear the verbal announcement, "This is a lockdown," quickly check the halls and pull in any students who might be outside (even if they are from another class).
  2. Lock all doors! Lock all windows! Draw the blinds and cover the windows (appointed student class leaders can help).
  3. Move all students to the floor, away from doors and windows, yet close to the door wall and out of sight.
  4. Remain quiet and in control. Do not leave the room until you have received an "All clear!" signal from an administrator. (The all clear will be an announcement by an administrator over the intercom. Further appropriate instructions will be given at that time).
  5. Before school, children should remain on buses (do not unload)
  6. Passing periods, go to the nearest classroom.
  7. Lunch time, follow school procedures.
