Sep 2 School Begins

Keep Calm. Determine the seriousness of the situation.
Send for help or call 911, and secure everyone’s safety.
Assist victims. Follow first aid procedures.
Note witnesses and gather facts while maintaining confidentiality as appropriate.
If necessary or appropriate, assemble the Crisis Team. Use the Crisis Management Checklist (which includes calling families, the district office, superintendent, and meeting with the media.
Have someone go to the front of the building to make sure the area is clear and direct emergency vehicles to the area.
Enlist help to control/remove bystanders.
