MHS Principal's Message

Greetings Students, Parents, and Community Members,
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! Summer school is over, construction is finished and we are preparing for an outstanding school year. We are going to continue our strong emphasis on extensive planning, working together and striving for individual successes. We want ALL of our students to have a strong start that continues to build for a successful school year.
It is important we partner with our parents and community. Please plan to join my monthly roundtable meetings and look for opportunities to participate in our school. One such way is to consistently access our Skyward Family Access system to check your student’s grades, attendance, and homework throughout the year. If you do not have login credentials, or have lost them, please call Robin Brinkman at 398-8111. You will also find many important documents in the upper right corner of the MHS website.
Meridian High School is an outstanding school and we aim to make it even better! We are excited to start our new schedule and welcome our new teachers, Mrs. Sara Gribble [English] and Mrs. Andrea Ames [Science]. We also welcome Mrs. Kelly Gookstetter in our office and Ms. Terri Tigert as our new girls’ soccer coach. In addition, our Academy programs are also filling fast! If your student is interested in welding, construction or engineering, please contact me soon to discuss the great opportunities we have here at MHS! Football starts August 20th and the other Fall sports begin August 25th. We are excited to continue our strong tradition of success!
We look forward to the continued superb community support and are committed to providing the finest programs at MHS. Please take some time to read the contents of this newsletter so you and your students are informed about im-portant dates, events and opportunities leading up to the beginning of school. Exciting things are happening at MHS and we look forward to serving you and your students. We welcome input and appreciate your wonderful support!
