Greetings! There is important information to share about HSPE testing, a new world language at MHS, and our next parent roundtable.
Our annual High School Proficiency Exams (HSPE testing) are next week. We will be running a late arrival schedule during March 18, 19, and 20. There are some important parts.
1. All sophomores will be testing, along with some juniors and seniors who still need to satisfy these exams. The writing test will be conducted on March 18 & 19. The reading exam will be on March 20th. Those required to test will see their class assignments posted around the school. They are to be in those classes at 8:00am.
2. All freshmen will receive specific course and career advising with our counselors during the testing time. They are to report to the auditorium at 8:00am on each day.
3. Juniors and seniors not required to test will be on the late arrival schedule. Classes start at 10:35 for all grades.
Our HSPE schedule is posted on our web site. If you have any questions, Don McMains is facilitating our HSPE testing. He may be reached at 398-8111.
One of the objectives in our strategic plan is to provide more world language offerings at the high school. We would like your input! There is a survey open on our web page until Sunday, March 23rd. If you are interested in some recent research and would like to share your preference, please visit and respond to the survey.
The next parent roundtable meeting is Tuesday, March 18th at 6:00pm. This is an opportunity for parents to come and speak with Mr. Harvill and myself about topics of interest. These run for about an hour and are in our library and we commonly have cookies and coffee.
If you have any questions about the content of this message, please contact us at the office. Our number is 398-8111.
Thank you and have a great day!
