ENCOURAGEMENT: Encouragement will consist of staff attention, praise and rewards when meeting expectations and following the Guidelines
for Success.
PROPOSAL: The students will be given a Gotcha Ticket when they are seen using appropriate school behavior. These tickets will then
be deposited in the tumbler basket for a daily drawing.
THE PLAN: 1 The office staff will print the original Gotcha Tickets template and place them in
staff mailboxes.
2 All staff will be given sheets of Gotcha Tickets. They will cut them apart.
3 The staff will carry Gotcha Tickets in their pockets during the day.
4 When a staff member sees a student using appropriate behavior they give them a Gotcha Ticket. These can be given out at any time. Perhaps they see a child walking nicely in the hall, waiting
quietly in the lunch line, being a good listener, sitting nicely during an assembly, and etc. These are all appropriate times to give out Gotcha Tickets.
5 The children can then take their ticket, write their name and room number on it, and deposit it in the tumbler basket which will be located in the office.
6 Every morning, during morning announcements, the principal will draw a name from the basket. The child will then come to the office to choose something from the "Gotcha Treasure Chest".
7 All other names will remain in the basket for future drawings. The more tickets child gets the more chances they will have of winning!!!
