Math Concepts for Kindergarten to Third Grade

Schoolwide Title (SWT) Math enhances students' understanding of math concepts  which have been taught in their classrooms. Students work in small groups or a one-on-one environment on specific concepts to which they need additional exposure. The following grade level lists are reflective of, but not limited to, the math concepts to which students receive extra support.

Kindergarten 
Counting aloud to 20 and beyond
Identifying 0-9  and beyond
Using numerals, spoken words, pictures, and objects to represent a number to 20

First Grade
Writing numbers and counting numbers aloud 0-100
Identifying numbers 0-100
Ordinal numbers 1-20
Numbers which come before/after another number 0-100
Numbers which are greater than/less than another number 0-100
Addition to 12
Counting on in addition (3+5 the student begins with 5 and counts 3 on)
Doubles to 12 (1+1 to  6+6)
Subtraction with or without counters from 12
Skip counting by 10's, 5's, and 2's to 100
Story Problems

Second Grade
Numbers which come before/after another number 0-1,000
Numbers which are greater than/less than another number  0-1,000
Place value 1's, 10's, and 100's
Even and odd numbers
Addition facts to 18
Counting on in addition (8+5= the student begins with 8 and counts 5 on)
Doubles to 18 (1+1 to 9+9)
Double plus 1 or 2
Using 10 to add
3 Addends (5+7+9=)
Missing addends  (7+_=15)
Addition with and without regrouping 2 digit numbers
Fact families
Subtraction facts to 18
Counting back/on
Subtracting 2 digit  numbers without regrouping

Third Grade
