Five Things Teachers Wish Parents Would Do:
1. Be involved in your children's education. Parental involvement helps students learn, improves schools and makes the teachers' job easier and more effective.
2, Provide learning and reading resources at home, such as books and magazines, and read to children regularly
3. Encourage children to do their best in school. Prevent anxiety by helping students set attainable goals and by discouraging over-involvement.
4. Don't undermine, but rather support rules, goals and discipline.
5. Alert teachers as soon as a problem becomes apparent so prompt and consistent action can be taken.
Five Things Parents Wish Teachers Would Do:
1. Build students' self-esteem by using praise generously and avoiding ridicule and negative public criticism.
2. Get to know each child's needs, interests and special talents.
3. Be aware of students' different learning styles and vary teaching methods to help each child achieve success.
4. Regularly assign homework that helps children learn.
5. Encourage parents to become involved in their children's education by showing them how to help at home, so the teacher and parent become a team.
