MAP Testing:

We are pleased to be able to offer MAP testing to you and your

students again this spring. It will be offered at Meridian High

School in room 14 from 8am to 3pm on

Tuesday, May 6, Thursday, May 8, Tuesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 15

The MAP is for grades 2-10, usually takes students about two hours

total to complete and covers reading and math. It may also be taken

in two separate sections of about one hour each. This will meet the

annual assessment requirement of those of you who have retained

home schools status.

There are 14 computers available all day, please sign up with Marti

for either two one-hour slots or one two-hour slot. If you would like

to sign up on the day off please call Donna Coleman (on Tuesdays) at

410-0207, Rob Widman (on the 8th) at 815-0715 or Mary Jo Harvey (on the 15th) at 410-0204 as they will

have the schedule on those days.

The high school is right next to MP3, if you enter the main building

through the large front steps room 14 is the second room on the right. Donna Coleman (Tuesdays) and Rob Widman or Mary Jo Harvey (Thursdays) will be

proctoring the test and students may be dropped off. Parents are

welcome to stay as well.

If you have any questions about the MAP test, please consult your SLP

coordinator.

Good News:

ALL FULL-TIME STUDENTS HAVE A $50 INCREASE IN STAR ACCOUNTS FOR 2007-2008. Part-time students have a proportional increase and the funds are available immediately.

Did you know your STAR funds can now be used for Internet Service Provider monthly fees (as long as there are activities/classes directly supported by internet use on your student’s SLP), memberships (you must list the dates visited on future monthly reviews), and Drivers Education Fees (for .95 or higher FTE students who have been enrolled for at least one semester)
