Supply List for 2005/6 School Year

·        Backpack

·        3-Ring Binder

The binder is the most important item on the supply list.  Please get a good one.  The binder travels back and forth to school every day in the backpack.

·        Subject Dividers for Binder  (Set of 6)

You can prepare the binder by labeling the subject dividers if you want.  Subjects are:  Read., Spell., Lang., SS, Sci., Math

·        Spiral Notebook

   ·        Several Erasable pens (Blue, Black and Red Ink)

          Pink Eraser

·        Box of Colored Pencils and Crayons and Markers

We use lots of colored pencils.  A small box of crayons in fine.  Markers are optional.

·        Notebook Paper

·        #2 Pencils

Note – Students will use lots of college-ruled notebook paper and #2 pencils throughout the year.  Be prepared to replenish supplies of paper and pencils throughout the school year.  Students will each have a little storage cubby for extra supplies.  Mechanical pencils are OK.

·        3 boxes of Kleenex

PLEASE DO NOT SEND RULERS, SCISSORS, OR GLUE!  I have classroom sets of these items and I prefer students don’t have them in their desks.

A Note From Mrs. Rick!

June 20. 2005

Dear Families,

My name is Diana Rick.  Your child has been assigned to my Fourth Grade Classroom for the 2005-2006 school year.  Ten Mile Creek Elementary School is a great place for children to learn.  I believe your child will have a positive experience here.

School begins on Tuesday, September 6, 2005.  On the back of this letter is a list of supplies that students will need for next year.  Thank you in advance for providing school supplies for your child.

We will have an Open House Night in the Fall.  I welcome and appreciate Parent Volunteers.  If you want to volunteer, please try to come to the Open House Night in September.  This is when I will have a short orientation and sign-ups for volunteers.

You can contact me during the school year by phone, email, or by sending a note.  Please feel free to contact me with any question you may have.  I am here to help your child be successful at school.  Have a great summer!

Sincerely,

Diana Rick
