Ideas for 5 W’s Chart:

Remember you are going to write an article about your person and what they did to change history or what made them famous.

Questions to ask:

WHO are they?

WHAT did this person do to make them worthy of study?

WHEN did they do whatever they did; when did they affect or change history?

WHERE did they come from? Where did their contribution take place?

WHY are we still learning about this person after all of these years? Why did they do whatever they did?

**Don’t forget to include some interesting fact or trivia about them.

REMEMBER YOU ARE WRITING A NEWSPAPER ARTICLE TO BE PUBLISHED IN A BLACK HISTORY BIOGRAPHY NEWSPAPER!

You aren’t writing a book or a story about them. A short newspaper article with the facts will do!
