Thoughout the course
of the year we will study a wide variety of science topics. These topics will range from simple measurements to very complex concepts such as plate tectonics and geologic history. The class requires the students to take notes, perform lab experiments, complete research on various topics and demonstrate knowledge of the material through tests and quizzes. We also make use of many forms of technology including power point presentations and web publishing programs.
Students in my science class participate in the internet based Jason Project. We are able to study a different aspect of our environment each year. Students comunicate with other students from around the world as well as complete web based projects through the Jason Project web site.
Take a look at some of the projects we complete in our science class. As you can see, they are very creative. The students enjoy creating projects that can be shared with other students around the world. Feel free to use any of the information contained within the site.
