Indoor Mask Requirement Ends March 21
Dear families, staff and students,
This afternoon Governor Jay Inslee announced that the statewide indoor mask mandate for Washington state, including in our schools, is scheduled to end on Monday, March 21.
Until March 21, masks will continue to be required for everyone in our schools.
Once the statewide requirement is lifted, students and staff may continue to choose to wear a mask while in school and we will support and respect their choice to do so.
At this time, masks will still be required on school buses per a federal mandate that requires masks to be worn on all forms of public transportation.
We know this announcement creates many questions and we are anticipating additional information from public health officials in the coming weeks. We will continue to update our staff and families about changes to the guidance for our district.
