Our partnership with the Whatcom County Library System, called ConnectEd, is active! Every student in the Meridian district has access to the WCLS through this partnership. Students can log in to www.wcls.org with their student ID (lunch) number. Logins start with “me” and then the six-digit number (ex. me123456). The default password is 1234 and can be changed.
ConnectEd allows access to the public library from all devices. Students can check out books with no overdue fines, download e-books, check out audiobooks, read magazines online, listen to music and use the research databases – all through ConnectEd! Only the ConnectEd account has the no-fine feature so if your child already has a library card, it is to their benefit to use ConnectEd – the accounts are not linked.
A WCLS library return bin is located outside Meridian Middle School for your convenience.
If your student needs help with getting their account set up, please have them speak with their school librarian. If you do not wish to have your child participate in this free service, contact your school.
