Our partnership with the Whatcom County Library System, called ConnectEd, is active! Every student in the Meridian district has access to the WCLS through this partnership.  Students can log in to with their student ID (lunch) number.  Logins start with "me" and then the six-digit number (ex. me123456).  The default password is 1234 and can be changed.ConnectEd allows access to the public library from all devices.  Students can check out books with no overdue fines, download e-books, check out audiobooks, read magazines online, listen to music and use the research databases - all through ConnectEd!  Only the ConnectEd account has the no-fine [...]

One of the requirements for a student to graduate high school in Washington State is the successful completion of a high school and beyond plan.  This plan begins in middle school with students looking at possible careers and continues through high school with students making adjustments to their plan, choosing classes that meet the course requirements for graduation as well as preparing each student for college, employment, or both. Last Monday, October 14th,  provided our students a day to stay home so our teachers could spend the day both learning and planning for the upcoming school year.  The day provided our teachers an opportunity to reconnect to our work and one another as we focused our attention on how to better serve the individual students in our class.  We continue to work on how we can best support our students, both in the classroom setting and through more formal interventions, like T3.  Our goal is to live our mission "to inspire and challenge active learners to positively impact [...]
