Summer Hours and Information<\/b><\/p>\n

School offices will be open through June 17 and then closed for the summer. All school offices reopen on Thursday, Aug. 20.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The District Office will be open to the public 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning the week of June 15. The District Office returns to normal hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, on Monday, Aug. 24.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2026-27 School Year<\/b>
\n<\/b>The first day of school for the 2026-27 school year is Monday, Aug. 31. Our 2026-27 school year calendar is available on our <\/span>calendars webpage.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Meridian Family Support Center Summer Hours<\/b>
\n<\/b>Starting June 17, the Meridian Family Support Center (Portable 400A at Irene Reither Elementary) will be open Wednesdays from 2-5 p.m. The food pantry, clothing closet and other resources will be available. The center will be closed on July 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

Summer Snack Program<\/b>
\n<\/b>The Summer Snack Program runs weekdays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Meridian High School until July 24, and closed July 3. <\/span>The program is open to all children 18 and under in the community. The daily snack is available in the main office. If you have questions, please contact Food and Nutrition Coordinator Erin Groen at <\/span>egroen@meridian.wednet.edu<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Save the date: Back-to-School Fair Aug. 19<\/b>
\n<\/b>Meridian is hosting a Back-to-School Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 1-5 p.m. at Irene Reither Elementary School. This event is free and open to all Meridian families and students and will include food, fun activities and helpful community partners sharing resources to get ready for the school year. Families who qualify for free and reduced meals, can pick up school supplies and sign up for Operation School Bell. One of the most anticipated parts of summer is the release of next year’s master schedule and student schedules. Please know that completing this work is a top priority for us right now.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We have a draft master schedule in place, and our counseling team is working tirelessly to build schedules for every student. It is a complex process that involves balancing student course requests while also ensuring students are meeting graduation requirements, graduation pathway expectations, and other important academic needs. While it is not always possible for every student to receive every class they request, our counselors do everything they can to make schedules as close to student requests as possible.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We are also excited about several additions and enhancements to our course offerings for next year. Students will have access to a new College in the High School course, Math 101. Latinos in Action will return for its second year, multiple year-long PE options will be available, art opportunities are expanding, a new Baking and Pastry course is being added, and AP Biology is returning to Meridian High School.<\/div>\n

Diploma pickup begins Friday, June 12th.\u00a0Running Start<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0NCTA<\/em>\u00a0students will need to wait until final grades are received\u2014these diplomas are typically available in August, once the office reopens.<\/div>\n
