Today was a non-student day for our staff, giving us dedicated time to step back and focus on one of the most important parts of our work: understanding how our students are doing and what they need from us next. Our teachers spent time looking at student work, formative assessment information, grades, and other evidence to better understand where students are learning and where they may need additional support or challenge. Just as importantly, our staff had time to work together, ask questions, and make thoughtful decisions about what we can do next for our students. Days like today are an important reminder that while the work may look different from a typical school day, it is still very much about students.<\/div>\n

We encourage all families to complete an application for free and reduced-price meals for the 2026\u201327 school year. Healthy, nutritious meals play a vital role in supporting your child\u2019s success at school. Submitting your application ensures your child continues to receive free or reduced-price meals and may also qualify your family for additional benefits.You can now submit your application through Skyward.<\/a><\/u><\/div>\n

Irene Reither Elementary<\/strong><\/div>\n
At Irene Reither Elementary, all students will continue to receive free meals. However, this depends on continued district eligibility so it is important for families to submit a new application each year. Free\/reduced meal status also provides access to other valuable benefits.<\/div>\n

MP3, Meridian Middle School (MMS) and Meridian High School (MHS)<\/strong><\/div>\n
If your student was eligible last year, that eligibility will carry over until\u00a0Oct. 13<\/strong>. After that date, students will be charged for meals unless a new application is received.<\/div>\n
