Leadership Update for Meridian Middle School

I want to share with you that Meridian Middle School Principal Todd Torgeson will be taking a leave of absence for the remainder of the school year. Mr. Torgeson is taking time to care for a close family member who is experiencing health challenges. We are sending him our best wishes during this time.

Starting next week, Meridian High School Assistant Principal Robert Kratzig will be stepping in to support Meridian Middle School as interim principal for the remainder of the year. Mr. Kratzig served as assistant principal at Meridian Middle School from 2022-2024. We know his experience with our middle school community and his leadership skills will make him a great fit for the role and ensure a smooth transition. Assistant Principal Jill Hammack will continue the incredible work she has done this year in her first year at the middle school.

Mr. Kratzig will continue to fulfill some responsibilities at the high school during this time.  Administrators from the District Office will provide support to Mr. Doffing on an as-needed basis.

I want to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Doffing, Mr. Kratzig and Ms. Hammack for their collaborative efforts in ensuring a strong finish to the school year at both schools.
