A Message from Meridian School District and the Meridian School Board
We want to share an update with our community. On Friday, March 13, School Board Director Marty Gray submitted his resignation from the Meridian School Board.
Director Gray has faithfully served Meridian as a School Board Director since December 2011. During his years of service, he has been a steady and committed leader for our students, staff, families and community. He continuously advocated for what is best for students and his presence on the board has made a lasting and positive impact for our community. His dedication and belief in Meridian have played an important role in shaping a district where learning thrives here.
In his decision, Director Gray shared:
“I am deeply thankful for all of the staff at Meridian for your friendship and unyielding support. There has never been a moment when I felt hesitant to approach you with questions or concerns, and I have always found you ready to help me understand some of the day-to-day interactions at the district. Thank you sincerely for your support and collaboration. I wish the board, Meridian, and everyone involved continued success and a positive future.”
We extend our sincere thanks to Director Gray for his years of dedicated service.
Per Board Policy 1114 ,the remaining members of the School Board will appoint a new director to fill the District 4 vacancy. Information about the application process for the open position will be shared with the community soon.
