NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to RCW 28A.505.050 and RCW 28A.505.060, that the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Meridian School District No. 505, Whatcom County, Washington (the “District”) will hold a regular meeting on June 25th, 2025, commencing at 6:00 PM via remote tele- and video-conference and in the Meridian Middle School Library, located at 861 Ten Mile Road, Lynden, WA 98264. Those interested in participating in the budget hearing and/or offering public comment on the proposed budget should contact Dr. James Everett at 360-318-2151 or jeverett@meridian.wednet.edu to receive instruction and access codes for the budget hearing. The meeting is called for the purpose of fixing and adopting the budget of the District for the ensuing 2025-26 fiscal year. Prior to adoption of the 2025-26 budget, the Board will hold a hearing for the purpose of receiving comments from the public on the 2025-26 budget. Any person may appear at the hearing and be heard for or against any part of the 2025-26 budget, the four year budget plan, or any proposed changes to uses of enrichment funding under RCW 28A.505.240. Upon conclusion of the hearing, the Board shall fix and determine the appropriation from each fund contained in the 2025-26 budget and shall, by resolution, adopt the 2025-26 budget, the four year budget plan summary, and the four-year enrollment projection. 2025-26 budget information is available on the district website http://www.meridian.wednet.edu/ or may be obtained by contacting Daniel Yorton, CPA, Director of Business and Finance, (360) 988-3840.
