Meridian High School now has access to a new feature in ParentSquare called Family Messaging. This feature allows you to send messages directly to your child through the ParentSquare platform.

ParentSquare developed this feature in response to nationwide cell phone policies, providing families with a reliable way to communicate with students during the school day when needed. Students can access StudentSquare through the web browser on their Chromebooks and enable notifications to receive your messages.

This feature is still in its early stages, and ParentSquare welcomes feedback. Please use this form to submit your feedback directly to ParentSquare.

A few important details:

  • Parents can only message their own children.
  • Parents cannot message other parents.
  • Students cannot message other students, including their siblings.
  • Parents can set up a group conversation that includes all of their high school children if they choose.

To use this new feature, sign into ParentSquare then go to Messaging. From there click on New Message and select either Direct Message or Group Message. You will then be able to search for your child’s name to add them to a new chat.

This feature is completely optional, but we wanted to make you aware of it and give you the opportunity to try it out if it meets your family’s needs.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students.
