Molly Zinkle is the Homeless Liaison, Family Resource Specialist/Readiness to Learn Coordinator for Meridian.
Readiness to Learn promotes student success by facilitating the combined efforts of schools, families, and communities to address the needs of the whole child. Molly has the responsibility to assist students and their families throughout the district. Referrals may be made for basic needs, such as food, clothing and shelter. She coordinates with the school district nurses on health needs including vision, dental care. Mental health/wellness referrals are also coordinated with school counselors and psychologists. Referrals are made to a variety of community resources to assist in meeting a variety of needs.
Other services may include coordinating resources for holiday assistance; Referrals to the Unity Care N.W. Mobile Dental Unit and sealant van provide dental services annually in our school district.
