Hello Trojans!
We’re settling into the second semester at Meridian, and the momentum around our school is exciting to see. Classrooms are finding their rhythm, students are setting fresh goals, and there’s a strong sense of focus and purpose as we move through this important stretch of the school year.
Our winter sports teams are wrapping up their regular seasons and turning their attention to postseason play. It’s an exciting time for our athletes and our fans! We’re proud of the dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship our Trojans continue to show in every competition.
And the energy doesn’t stop when the final whistle blows. Our student clubs continue to stay active, giving students opportunities to connect, lead, explore their interests, and build community beyond the classroom. From service to leadership to shared hobbies, these groups are an important part of what makes Meridian such a vibrant place.
And believe it or not, spring sports are already on the horizon! Students have begun attending informational meetings and getting ready for another great season.
It’s an exciting time to be a Trojan, and we’re so grateful for the ongoing support from our families and community as we cheer on our students in every arena.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out.
Go Trojans!

Registration for the 2026–2027 School Year

Next week we will be meeting with the Grade 11 students in their US History classes to start registration for next year. We will be presenting our 2026-2027 MHS Course Catalog and reviewing the work needed on their 4-Year Plan. The plan indicates the classes they will be taking to meet their 24 credit graduation requirement. Students will have time to work on the plan in their Homeroom class.
All of the registration resources are located on the MHS website.
A special meeting will be held for Academy and Running Start students who do not have a Homeroom class. The first meeting for these students is on February 25th at 1:15, the second meeting is scheduled for March 5th. Both classes will be at the high school in the commons area.

Dual Credit Information

Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is just around the corner. Students currently in Grade 10 who are considering Running Start should note that a Dual Credit Information Meeting is scheduled for February 24th from 6:00-7:30 pm in the MHS auditorium. Attendance at this meeting is required for students interested in Running Start as well as those considering the Northwest Career & Technical Academies (NCTA).

Families and students who already have questions and would like to prepare in advance are encouraged to schedule an appointment with their school counselor as soon as possible. Registration is a particularly busy time of year, and there is a limited window of approximately two weeks before classroom registration meetings begin.
Planning ahead will help ensure students have the information they need to make informed course decisions.
