Hello Trojans!
We’re looking forward to connecting with families next week during conferences. On Tuesday evening from 5:00–7:30 PM, we will host an open house format. Teachers will be available in their classrooms to meet, discuss goals, answer questions, or simply say hello.
Conferences are one of my favorite times of the year because they intentionally create space for something incredibly important, partnership. When schools, families, and students work together, students thrive. That partnership is critical to academic growth, personal development, and overall well-being.
These conversations reflect our core commitments to Belonging, Communication, Support, Wellness, and Learning. By coming together, listening, and planning next steps as a team, we strengthen the foundation that helps every student succeed.
We hope to see you there and look forward to continuing this important work together.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out.
Go Trojans!

Meridian High School Conferences Feb. 17-19

Meridian High School will have school conferences Feb. 17-19. On these days, Meridian High School will dismiss early at 12:10 p.m.
On Tuesday, Feb. 17 all families are invited to our conference open house from 5-7:30 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to meet with any of their student’s teachers in their classrooms. We will have Spanish interpretation available. If you plan to attend and need an interpreter, please complete our request form.
For afternoon conferences on February 17–19, our school team will reach out to some families to invite them to participate. We value your partnership and look forward to supporting your student’s learning together. If you have any questions, please contact our school office.

Registration This Week

Registration for next year has begun for our MLL (Multi-Language Learners) this week and will continue for the next few weeks. The handbook is translated into many different languages and is posted on the MHS website.
If any students or families have questions please make an appointment with your student’s school counselor.
The following week we will be working in G10 English classes to help start their registration.

Picking Your Child Up Early From School

If you need to pick up your student early from school, please contact the office at 360-398-8111. We would be happy to get your student for you. If possible, please try to call at least 30 minutes in advance. We understand that emergencies happen and a last minute pick up may be needed, but it is great to have the extra time to make sure your student is ready when you arrive.

Seniors – High School and Beyond Plan

The High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) was due on January 28. A significant number of students have not yet submitted their completed documents.
The HSBP is a state graduation requirement. Additionally, your Senior Presentation on April 23—also a graduation requirement at MHS—is based on the work you have completed in your HSBP over the past four years.
Your HSBP must be submitted and marked satisfactory before you will be permitted to present on April 23.
Please submit your HSBP as soon as possible so counselors can review it and confirm that it meets all requirements.
If you have questions or need assistance, contact your counselor immediately.
