Hello Trojans!
On Friday, our staff spent the day engaged in meaningful professional learning together. Teachers continued their work in Professional Learning Teams, collaborating to reflect on student learning and refine strategies that support success in the classroom.
One of the most impactful parts of the day was hearing directly from students in our Latinos in Action class, who shared their perspectives and experiences as learners at Meridian. Their insights helped deepen our understanding of the student experience and sparked thoughtful conversations among staff.
The day also included small-group discussions focused on how we can best support students who may need additional academic or personal support.
I’m incredibly grateful for the way our staff showed up for this work. A special thank you goes to the students who came in on their day off to share their voices. That valuable perspective helps make our school stronger!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out.
Go Trojans!

Registration

Next week the counselors will be finalizing registration for our grade 11 students. A parent signature is required on the Registration Worksheet. Students are to to turn in their Registration Worksheet, 4 year course plan, and any supplemental documents by March 13th. The counselors will be meeting with students one last time.
If your student missed the two sessions for Academy and Running Start students who do not have homeroom, their papers are in the office and need to be picked up and completed at this same deadline of March 13th.
All the documents and instructions needed are on the high school website.

Credit Retrieval

If you’ve failed a course and are no longer on track to graduate, now is the time to sign up for credit retrieval. Sessions will be held on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. in Room 209. Attendance is required, and students can catch the activity bus home afterward. Once the course is completed, the credit will be added to your transcript.
Contact your school counselor to sign up!

Picking Up Your Student Early From School?

If you need to pick up your student early from school, please contact the office at 360-398-8111. We would be happy to get your student for you. If possible, please try to call at least 30 minutes in advance. We understand that emergencies happen and a last minute pick up may be needed, but it is great to have the extra time to make sure your student is ready when you arrive.

Arriving Late To School?

Please remember to sign in, in the office, when you arrive at school. Make sure to write your first and last name on the sign in sheet. Remember we need to be able to read your writing.
