Dr. Harvill is continuing to learn more about every role in Meridian School District, and recently he spent time in the Meridian High School office.
From answering phones and greeting visitors to entering data and delivering notes to classrooms, the MHS office team quickly put him to work and gave him a firsthand look at what it takes to keep a school running smoothly. The amazing office team includes head secretary Kelly Gookstetter, registrar Lori Blankenship, attendance secretary Tami McMains, athletics secretary Regan DeMent and accounts payable specialist Dori Lukes.
Dr. Harvill walked away from the experience with a deeper appreciation for the countless behind-the-scenes tasks that happen each day and how even a simple request often involves much more time and coordination than most people realize. Through it all, this incredible team handles every challenge with professionalism, a smile, and, of course, a Yeti cup close by.
When asked what they love most about their work, the answer was simple: the kids. As they put it, “Why else would you be here if not for the kids?”
