Family School Climate Survey

During school conferences parents/guardians have the opportunity to take a survey created by the Center for Educational Effectiveness. This brief survey is about school climate and culture and will help us continue to improve our schools. Your feedback will also be shared with the Strategic Plan Development Committee as they continue their work.

Devices are available during school conferences so families can choose to complete the survey onsite. This survey is available in multiple languages.

Thank you for sharing your input by Friday, Feb. 18.

Feb. 7-11: Happy National School Counseling Week!

National School Counseling Week 2022, “School Counseling: Better Together,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) focuses public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within the U.S. school system.

In Meridian, our counseling staff works not only with students, but also teachers, families and community partners to assist students with the mindsets and behaviors for success in school and life. Our counselors are actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents. They work in partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world. Each of them focus on positive ways to enhance students’ academic, career and social-emotional development. With teachers and other educators, they provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic and optimistic aspirations for themselves.

Please take a moment to show your appreciation to our school counselors for the hard work they do every day for all of our students, staff and families! Thank you to Cheryl McBride, Don McMains, Kathy Greshock, Catherine Mullett, Marina Wolfe and counseling intern Katie Miller!
