We want to work to ensure that student voice is heard at all levels in our district. Students’ needs, interests, ideas and opinions are important in our schools. The Superintendent’s Student Advisory will meet monthly and discuss important topics with Superintendent Dr. James Everett.

Purpose and expectations:

  • Be a voice for students in Meridian School District.
  • Develop your leadership skills and hone your meeting and public speaking skills.
  • Be punctual and attend all meetings.
  • Contribute to discussions by providing student insight and perspectives.
  • Regularly report back to the student body regarding the work of the district.
  • Be prepared for meetings by reviewing meeting agenda items and information prior to meetings.
  • Student advisory members should be able to effectively communicate and represent the interests of all Meridian students, which includes those who may differ from their own.

Application process:

  • All interested students will complete an online application.
  • Applications will be reviewed and interested applicants may be interviewed.
  • The first student advisory meeting was held in March 2023.
