CONGRATULATIONS to MHS MUSICIANS
Congratulations are in order for two members of the music department: Flutist Lindsey Stager has recently been accepted as a member of the PLU honor band which will take place in early January. In the MHS choir, Freshman Mystra Mezo has been accepted into the prestigious Washington Music Educators All-State honor choir taking place in Yakima this February. The MHS music department is proud to have these two wonderful musicians representing our school at these events.

Greetings:
The cool and wet weather has certainly signified our move into the busy fall season! Soon we will be celebrating Thanksgiving! The school year is off to a terrifc start. The staff and students seem to be adjusting to the new BLACK/GOLD schedule. Students are excited about the new classes that are being offered this year. There are a few things to remind parents of as the year progresses:

Winter Sport Athletes.

Winter sports begin in one month, November 16. Make sure you have turned in all your paperwork to Mr. Larsen, and paid your athletic fees upstairs in the attendance office, before the first day of practice. (more)

Skyward is an online grade access program that provides parents and students access to classroom progress, attendance information, classroom calendars and more. Whatcom County Health Department asked that we take this opportunity to update you on the current situation with 2009 H1N1 influenza (earlier referred to as "swine flu") and how it might affect school operations.
