Interpretation and Translation Services

All parents have the right to information about their child’s education in a language they understand. When your child enrolls in school, the school will ask you about the language you would like to use when communicating with the school. This helps your school identify your language needs so they can provide an interpreter or translated documents, free of charge. For our families who speak Spanish, we encourage you to connect with Cultural Liaison Elvira Trautman, 360-306-2886 or etrautman@meridian.wednet.edu.

ParentSquare

ParentSquare is a communications platform that is designed to keep parents and guardians informed, and encourage greater engagement and connection with our schools.

It provides a safe and simple way for parents to:

  • Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification
  • Choose to receive information instantly or once with a daily digest around 6 p.m.
  • Communicate in your preferred language
  • Direct message teachers and staff

Parents do not need to register their account to receive messages. If you would like to customize your notification settings, or interact more with the app, you will need to register your account.

School Websites and Staff Directory

Each of our schools and the district have their own website. You can visit our district website at www.meridian.wednet.edu. This is where important information and district news is shared. You can locate each school website, phone number and address by visiting our schools webpage.

On each website we have a searchable staff directory. You can search by name, title or location. Our staff directory lists the staff member’s name, title, phone number, email address and location. Please use this information to either call or email our schools or staff.
