Hello Trojans!
It’s fun to start seeing all the little pieces of the school year coming together. Students are finding their routines, building new connections, getting involved, and becoming more comfortable asking for help when they need it. In classrooms, hallways, and during lunch, we’re seeing the relationships and sense of belonging that make a school feel like a community. None of these moments are particularly big on their own, but together they are what make a school year successful, and it’s exciting to see those pieces taking shape at MHS!
As always, please reach out if you have any questions or need support!
Go Trojans!
-Mr. Doffing, Principal
-Mr. Zabel, Assistant Principal

Showing Up Matters: Show Up for SuccessAs Attendance Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to thank families for partnering with us to support student success. Regular attendance helps students stay engaged in learning and reach their goals. We know that illnesses and unexpected events happen, and we appreciate your efforts to prioritize attendance whenever possible. Together, we can help every student build habits that lead to success in school and beyond. Thank you for helping us show that every day matters. If there is anything we can do to support your child’s regular attendance, contact us.

Seniors & Families: Let’s Talk About Financial Aid!As graduation gets closer, many families are beginning to think about what comes next-
college, technical school, career training, or other opportunities after high school. One
important step in that process is completing the FAFSA or WASFA (Washington Application
for State Financial Aid). Both applications open on October 1, 2026.
The FAFSA and WASFA help students determine what financial assistance may be available
to help pay for education after high school. Depending on eligibility, students may qualify
for grants, work-study, loans, and other financial aid. Even if you aren't sure your family will
qualify, it is worth completing an application. You never know what opportunities may be
available until you apply.
