Meridian High School’s junior class will be hosting the daughter banquet on February 26th, 5:30-7:00pm.

Kindergarten Registration Opens Feb. 18
​
Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year begins Tuesday, February 18. To be eligible, children must be 5 years old by September 1, 2025. In our kindergarten program, children learn through play and engaging hands-on activities. They will develop social skills, make new friends and grow in many ways. Additionally, they will learn to read, write, and build foundational math skills. Families can register their child online.

Transitional Kindergarten 
Apply for our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program beginning Feb. 18! TK is a free, full-day early entrance kindergarten experience for children who are scheduled to enter kindergarten the following year. To be eligible, children must turn 4 before Sept. 1, 2025 and demonstrate academic, language or social need and cannot be currently enrolled in another early learning program. When enrolling make sure to select K1 and your application will be reviewed.  Apply by registering your child online.

Parents of 4th & 5th grade students,
Students in fourth and fifth grade will be taking part in comprehensive sexual health education lessons beginning March 17.
Families may review materials on the Puberty: The Wonder Years website, which includes the following information for grades 4 and 5:
Parents and guardians may remove their children from these lessons with a written request. (RCW 28A.300.475). Families who wish to opt their children out of these lessons must turn in an opt-out form before the first day of lessons. Opt-out forms are available in the school office. Students who opt-out of the lessons will go to our library to complete an alternative activity assigned by their teacher. Please reach out to your student’s classroom teacher if you have any questions.
Curriculum materials are available for families to review at the District Office, 214 W. Laurel Road, Bellingham, WA, during business hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. If families are unable to review materials during business hours, please call 360-318-2170 to schedule an appointment.
