Meridian Family Support Center

Our Meridian Family Support Center, located at IRE in Portable 400A, connects families to community partners and supports including food, housing, clothing, and more. Please contact us if you need support. For English call 360-988-1949 and for Spanish call 360-306-2886.

Apply for Free or Reduced-Price School Meals

We encourage all families to complete a free and reduced-price meal application for the 2025–26 school year. Nutritious meals support student success and submitting your application may also qualify your family for additional benefits.
  • Irene Reither Elementary students currently receive free meals, but continued eligibility depends on annual applications, so please complete and submit a free and reduced-price meal application.
  • For families at MP3, MMS and MHS last year’s eligibility ended on Oct. 15. If you did not submit an application this school year, you have reverted to full price meals.
  • Applications are accepted year-round and are available in English and Spanish at school offices or online. One application covers all children in your household.
  • Questions? Contact Food and Nutrition Coordinator Erin Groen at egroen@meridian.wednet.edu or (360) 318-2267.

Meridian Food Drive

For those who can want to help, from Nov. 3-13, we are hosting a food drive to support families in our community. Donations will go to the Meridian Family Support Center and Ferndale Food Bank. We’re collecting nonperishable and unexpired items like canned soup, vegetables, fruit, pastas, beans, cereals, rice, flour, cooking oils, peanut butter, and canned chicken and tuna. You can bring donations on the bus or drop them off at the school office.
We are grateful to be part of a caring community. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need support or have questions.
